Malcolm’s Story
Malcolm Jones, also known as "Mike," is a dedicated middle school teacher, author, motivational speaker, and community volunteer. In addition to his professional endeavors, he is a proud father. Malcolm has a loving daughter who is curious, energetic, and the center of his life. When he is not teaching Earth Science, volunteering, or relaxing at home with a glass of whisky, he is actively engaged in co-parenting and spending quality time with his daughter, Chyanne. Malcolm takes great pride in being able to merge his ability to teach for a living with his 5-year-old daughter.
While Malcolm has built a rewarding life for himself, his path to success and self-awareness was marked by numerous challenges. His childhood and early adulthood involved many setbacks including dealing with family estrangement, financial difficulties, divorce, and even homelessness. Yet rather than succumbing to these obstacles through addiction or depression, Malcolm relied on prayer, discipline, and perseverance. His resilience kept him moving forward during the darkest times of his life. Inspired by these experiences, he committed himself to giving back to others.
In 2022, Malcolm published his first book, which he later renamed as, This Is Private Property. In this inspirational and relatable story, he shares five key life lessons he learned after confronting the very same emotional struggles that had previously held him back for years. He chose to stop sweeping them under the rug and came face-to-face with his pain. Following the completion of his first book, Malcolm has continued to write and inspire others. His objective . . . to help others fall in love with their lives just as he did. Whether teaching his students, serving in the community, being a great dad and co-parenting, Malcolm strives to make a positive impact no matter how big or small. He acknowledges that fate selected him to confront some of its most formidable challenges and takes greater pride in having surmounted these obstacles. Now he hopes to empower others in overcoming their own.
